Once again, I fall.
It is unfortunate, really, that someone gets ignored by the very institute he spends half his life in. It's almost as if he was being thrown out slowly, bit by bit, emotionally and psychologically. I figured it was only a matter of time before he was expelled completely. And all those years spend - lost. Wasted. Useless.
A friend of mine once told me that the life we live now has to matter the most to us, because we weren't going to get it back when we lose it. He said the same thing for time, only he told us it was just another countdown. Yes, I tended to agree with him when he still had his life. Now that he's gone, I have no one to turn to.
Alone, once more. And I have fallen.
The procedures were simple, the actions were easy. What stopped me, I do not know. Was it respect, or was it fear? Something held me back from finishing the plan. That distraction... that one key element that I can't seem to identify.
The equation is still incomplete.
Perhaps I rushed the sequences - the process targets were not ready even though the logic gates were prepared for a full shore. But that makes no sense. The process targets were ready. The logic gates were open. What stopped the input flux?
